June Favourites

Hiiiieeeeee darlings! This has been long awaited and I am now bringing you my favourites for the month of June *month of me haha*. In all honesty the month of June has been very eventful. I finished my Leaving Cert and I travelled to Germany*quite the lucky duck I was*. Makeup wise I didn't try out a lot of new products but instead discovered some golden oldies that were lying around in my stash. Reflecting back on the month of June I realised, I mainly focused on skincare and accessories *which you will be seeing in this post *wink wink*. Before I go into a constant chat with myself on this post I might as well get started on my favourites!

1st Favourite

Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defence SPF 50 PA+++ - To put into simpler words of this long winded product name it is basically sunscreen, specifically for your face. Some of you might be thinking *girrrrrrrl that has a big price tag just for sunscreen*. Personally for me it is worth the price tag, I get very cautious of my skin when the summer hits because I have sensitive skin. My daily skincare routine consists of Kiehl's products because my skin had suffered from eczema *it was a really bad time*. Out of all the products I use on my face, this is my favourite. It's very important to wear sunscreen, especially when the sun is shining like no tomorrow. I tend to see a lot of girls who paint on a lot of makeup and throughout the day it becomes cakey and dry *just a big ol' hot mess*. Just adding that extra step in putting sunscreen under your makeup can definitely help prevent premature ageing skin and even more serious skin cancer! So ladies and gents SPF IT UP!

2nd Favourite

Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser - From my above product you already know I use Kiehl's for my face. However that skincare routine tends to be too "heavy feeling" if I'm wearing minimal makeup for the day. Simple by far is the best skincare line for me, especially the Clear Skin range. I love how lightweight this moisturiser feels on my skin. It doesn't feel so greasy *a big A plus for me*. Another great thing about Simple is that they care for sensitive skin, my skin doesn't feel as if it's burning off. I've been really satisfied with this product this month because it has helped keep my pimples under control. *the dreaded face demons*. This however doesn't get rid of pimples *just saying* but minimises redness and how long they last on my face. For the souls who suffer from sensitive skin or just looking to try new skincare I definitely recommend looking at Simple.

3rd Favourite

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in "Sin" - Some of you might be wondering, *why does she only like one eyeshadow for the month?*. The answer? This particular shade gives my eyelids LIFE. Throughout the whole month of June I decided my skin just needed a break from makeup. *hence the mention of skincare products*. I've been wearing minimal makeup to no makeup at all. This shade is a cult favourite as I've been told and I can definitely see why. This shade gives a luminous sheen to the eye,  makes you look more awake. This paired with some black eyeliner and mascara and you're ready to get out the door. It's a shimmery pink champagne colour which I adore and for my light skinned souls, this can double as a highlighter on the cheeks *wink wink*. Urban Decay never fails to impress me when it comes to quality, as you can see by the pigmentation in the swatch.

4th Favourite

Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder in "Medium Warm" - This powder has travelled with me everywhere in the month of June. This is a new-ish product from Urban Decay and I don't understand why no one is making a shrine for this beauty. This is honestly the best powder I've ever used because  of the "feel" it has on my skin. The powder feels very soft and satiny and it's very finely milled. I use this to touch up my makeup throughout the day. I've used this product as a foundation on its own and it gives me the light coverage I need without looking cakey. The packaging of this powder really won me over. *so slick and chic*. I use Mac's Studio Fix Powder religiously but this won me over for the whole month of June. Good job Urban Decay!

Nars Illuminator in "Orgasm" - I'm guessing every makeup junkie has heard about "strobing" right? For those who haven't it's basically the "new" contouring. Instead of contouring shadows you're highlighting areas where the light hits, giving the illusion of a contoured face. So instead of splurging on a new illuminator to try out this technique I looked through my drawers and found this beauty. "Orgasm" blush by Nars is a favourite for all. It goes great with every skin tone without a doubt. This illuminator is similar to the blush its a peachy pink shade with gold undertones. I was hesitant to try this because of the peachy pink colour but girl this shade is GORGEOUS. The peachy pink is very subtle on the skin and the highlight is just right *doesn't make you look like you're oily*. I definitely ditched the bronzer and the contouring for this month and stuck with this baby. It gives a very youthful glow to the face *and who doesn't want to look youthful am I right?* Stay tuned to my blog because I'll be taking on "strobing" and sharing my thoughts on it *wink wink*

6th Favourite

Beauty Blender - This is god's gift to the beauty world. This is an all-time holy grail for me. I use to use stippling brushes religiously to apply my foundation. However I wasn't always pleased with the way it applied my makeup. When the Beauty Blender came around my prayers had been answered. This blends my makeup flawlessly. My skin doesn't feel heavy or caked. The price tag on these babies aren't the best but if you're looking for an alternative try out the Real Techniques Beauty Sponge. It does the same job and it's beautiful too. I always wet my sponges before applying my makeup so it gives the full effect of it's wondrous ways! You can use this to apply any type of cream or liquid foundation, concealers, highlighters or even powders.

7th Favourite

Victoria Secret Body Spray in "Love Spell" - Body sprays in general are great for the summer. They're light and fragrant. I feel wearing perfume during the day can feel overpowering and heavy on me. I particularly love the Hollister and Victoria Secret body sprays. A great thing about them is that you can carry it in your purse or schoolbag. I used these constantly when I was in school and it just made me feel more awake and fresh *it got me through those secondary blues*. If you need a pick me up during a long day, body sprays are your baby to call.

8th Favourite

Cat Eye Sunglasses from "C&W" - *can we just appreciate that you can see me in the lenses*. I purchased these sunglasses while I was on holidays in Germany for 11 euro. *CRAZY right?!* I have always adored the cat eye design on glasses but could never find one at a decent price. I particularly love the mix of patterns in the sunglasses, you can see some leopard print and zebra print. Just wonderful. These glasses go with every outfit I wear and they're not too big for my face. The lenses are UV 400 so thats why you can see my reflection in the lenses. For any of my people who have a "C&W" in their town, go and check out their accessories. They are to die for.

9th Favourite

Triangle Necklace (New Look) & Crystal Necklace (ATFashion on Instagram) - I'm not a big  accessories person. I don't wear big statement necklaces or bracelets etc. However I really do love wearing very simple necklaces particularly the ones above. I feel that wearing less is more and it just brings my whole outfit together without being "too much". The triangle necklace I love to wear on nights out. It's such a simple design yet it's enough to wear on it's own without layering more accessories. The crystal necklace is my favourite to wear during the day. I actually won this in a mini giveaway held by "refinedgenes and atfashion" on Instagram. I was very lucky to be picked without a doubt. I love wearing this when I feel that my outfit seems bare. I definitely recommend checking "atfashion" on instagram, she has loads more of these beauties to offer and they're of a really good price!

10th Favourite

Daria (television series) - I never thought I could relate to a cartoon character so much in my life. For those who don't know what Daria is *where have you guys been?*. This was a show on MTV about a sarcastic, sassy girl Daria who is surrounded by the stereotypical "jocks and cheerleaders" and "nerds" and we see how she deals with school life, family and relationships etc.  The show explores a lot of these stereotypes and problems in a humorous way. Some episodes you can even learn a new lesson about life. I just love how laid back and "I don't care" Daria is. She wants to be a nobody yet she finds herself being the centre of attention. It's all just beautiful, this show is a definite binge watch. Nobody could be disappointed with Daria can they? She loves pizza for crying out loud.

Well darlings we have come to the end of my favourites, it's not so razzle dazzle but it's simple and fun *right?* I hope you guys enjoyed this post and stay tuned to my blog in the next week! Hit me up on my social media and tell me what have been your favourites for the month of June!
