A haul and a little chat.
The makeup and food junkie within.
Today started out okay, I woke up at 6am and cleaned the house (why on earth would I do that so early?). Well the mother and father came back from England today, might as well lick their arses and make the house look nice haha. But before I get into the goodies they brought back from England, lets talk about makeup.
On Friday I received my package of Mac makeup that I bought from two sellers on Instagram. I wouldn't usually trust buying on social websites but the sellers were legit (and whats a little risk hmm?). I never usually buy limited edition makeup from Mac but omfggggg. I had to have this one.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is one of my favourite movies. With memorable songs like the "Time Warp" and "Sweet Transvestite from Transylvania" and the flamboyant characters. Utter perfection. Well Mac came out with a collection based on the movie and I just had to have it. I was originally going to buy it in Brown Thomas but it sold out in minutes (just my luck bleh). Luckily! I have my hands on it now and I couldn't be happier. I also bought a lipstick from the "Alluring Aquatics" collection, at first I never took an interest to it but the lipstick seduced me. I'm a sucker for presentation and I have to admit, these two collections definitely take the top spot for best packaging.
Anyways on to the products;
I bought two lipsticks from the RHS collection, "Sin" and "Frank 'n' Furter". These two shades specifically sold out in seconds, well all the lipsticks did but these were in such high demand. My dog actually got a hold of my Sin lipstick and he bloody cracked the lid. The product however wasn't damaged (thanks be to buddha) but its very difficult to slide the product out smoothly (just deal with it, you know?). I also bought the sculpting/ highlighting powder in "Bone Beige/Emphasize". I originally wanted the blush but it was so difficult to find it at a reasonable price. I was skeptical at first about this product, I have medium coloured skin so it's pretty hard to find a sculpting powder that can be seen on my face. Overall the powder worked for my skin and the highlight is just gorgeous, gives life to my skin I believe. Lastly, the last product I bought was from the AA collection. I bought the lipstick in the shade "Enchanted One", this shade was a bitch to find. I'm not really a nude lipstick wearer, I usually go for really deep shades or really bright shades, there's never an in-between. I got suckered into this because of the whole "Kylie Jenner lipstick phase", can you blame me though? the shade of her lipstick is just to die for. I find it very hard to work with nudes because my lips are naturally pigmented like a pinky/berry shade (strange? I know). However, this shade is perfect for my lips, it doesn't wash me out and it compliments my skin tone (what more can I ask for?).
Finally, have some lovely pictures and I have given you beautiful people an idea of what these lipsticks look like on my skin tone.
